Tillsonburg, ON – Fire Chief
The Town of Tillsonburg has appointed Scott Tegler as its new Fire Chief. Tegler previously served as Fire Chief in the nearby Town of Woodstock, ON.
Tillsonburg is a town located about 50 kilometers southeast of London, ON and is one of eight municipalities in the County of Oxford. Archaeological excavations in the northwest corner of the town have revealed a 14th century Iroquoian village.
The town has a population of about 18,615 over 22.2 km2. Tillsonburg Fire Services has 28 on-call volunteer firefighters led by the fire chief, and two assistant chiefs. The communications division, currently led by Assistant Fire Chief Vanessa Devolin, dispatches for the Town of Tillsonburg, as well as 38 other fire stations across Ontario.
